friggin awesome

This is pretty remarkable: click either pic to Andrea's blog for an awesome photo story about a robot who ... just wants a cupcake.

Foodporn with robots and cupcakes for the win.

And here's a link to the robot's first adventure with cupcakes.

Thanks for letting me use the photos, A. Well done!

Current Mood: impressed

Nice pictures, but the script could use a little work ;)

Hehe. I totally agree with you. I wrote this at like 3am this morning, after taking the photos like, a week ago and forgetting my original storyline. I just couldnt let the photos go to waste though, so I threw something together and slapped it up on my livejournal.

I think its cute though, and I appreciate your polite critisizm. *smile*

It's a great idea- where do you get those little robots?

The grey one is a stikfa, I got him at Things from another world, the comic book shop. I also have another stikfa, the green one in the dome walker, that I got from thinkgeek.com.

As for colossus, He's a discontinued toy from playmind toy group. They got sued for stealing the product design of the stikfas, and they're no longer in business. I bought mine at big lots about 3 years ago. I wish I had bought all of them, but by the time I realized how cool they were, they were gone.

I have a couple of Colossus' breakdancing cousins in my office. The one on the left holds my business cards.

That is so awesome. I love that you've got one of them holding your business cards!

I had colossus taped to the top of my computer holding a D20 for the longest time. Then I figured he'd like to be in a cupcake story. hehe..

How long have you had yours? Did you know they're collectors items now?

We had a few dozen here a couple years ago, along with Stikfas -- one of our clients is interested in articulated toy figures, so we usually have some around. I have a few more of the Playmind ones that are heavy metal rockstars, maybe I'll put one up on eBay. :)
