Damn it, typos SHOULD invalidate them. It's not the spirit, it is - quite literally - the LETTER of the law!

Also, re: the Orbis. I'll paraphrase something I said to someone else who linked me to the Dyson page.

I'll believe it when I see it. Design contests get an awful lot of drivel given to them for consideration, and very often the best designs are downright impossible.

I link to Dan's reviews because frankly, he covers everything I'd cover.

Specific to the Orbis:
* I'd love to see the actual calculations involved in coming up with the top speed weight. Even just the napkin that the designer did the first math on. Also, what kind of range? Also why is speed metric and weight in pounds? This little inconsistencies give me the heebie-jeebies.
*Comparing it with the Segway is only valid to a first approximation. After that, it begins to (ha!) fall down. *The Orbis offers no lateral stability, so it can't maintain its own balance, if left to it's own devices.
*It can't turn in its own radius (or in place).
*Turning tightly at slow speeds is limited by the intersection of your lower legs with the wheel housing.
