Hehe, hope I didn't piss off too many folks with my Rabbit Hole Day post. To clarify: I'm not quitting my job and breaking up with my girlfriend to become a Buddhist monk.
I was quite taken aback with the range of responses; I'm chagrined and strangely proud that several folks believed it, but deeply touched by the show of support. To be sure, it was intended to be a joke; it was not intended to be a joke on you. :)
The Hang and I took a road trip to Seattle this weekend to see the Seattle Opera's closing performance of Die Fledermaus and visit with her folks and family friends. The show and the company was fantastic, but the drive (both ways) was abysmal because the weather was completely poopy. We didn't even have time to hit IKEA or meet up with splitpeasoup.
We did, however, have an unexpected 90 minutes to walk around Seattle Center and explore some of Belltown. Wanting to grab a cup of decent coffee, we were tempted to ask the locals "Do you guys know where we can find this coffee place ... Moonbucks? Barbucks?" but instead quite accidentally stumbled into The Crocodile Cafe and had a strong cuppa with a bunch of folks that looked like they hadn't slept since the previous night's show.
Apparently I missed an earthquake(!!) in Portland?
