... aaaaand we are GO.
But sadly, we weren't go ... the instruction manual advised that after first charging the auger, I needed to season the unit by running it for 45 minutes on the "smoke" setting -- prior to cooking any food. It was late and the smell the thing was putting out was plenty salivating, but Erin saved the day with rescue pizza. I'll have to wait til next weekend to christen it.
