A Summary of the
Changes To Practice for Continued Examination Filings,
Patent Applications Containing Patentably Indistinct Claims, and
Examination of Claims in Patent Applications
HO BOY.
I haven't been that anxious for a long time. Hopefully I didn't talk 80 miles a minute and actually made sense. It feels great to be done, and I think I did a good job, even though I feel that didn't understand a lot of what I was presenting. The material is a collection of rule changes for patent practice handed down by the PTO yesterday (130 pages worth, right here) so yeah, topical and timely. Also extremely relevant: if these stand up to the lawsuits being filed, they'll work a fairly profound change on how patent practitioners do our jobs.
Gah. I think I'm useless for the rest of the day now. I want to go to OMSI for some reason. Unfortunately, I have a lot to do.
